Malena's Heart Cookies

My daughter just turned 5... I honestly don't know where the time has gone... maybe i've been too busy making cakes or something. lol. Anyway, she requested heart sugar cookies to take to school... fancy pink ones for the girls and red ones for the boys, so that is exactly what she got! These would also be great for Valentine's Day which is next week! ;) Happy Birthday Malena!

Anjali's Cupcake Sugar Cookies

I made these sugar cookies for my daughter Anjali who just turned 3 to take to school with her to share with all of her friends and teachers. She wanted cupcakes to take in but the teachers said no due to the fact that the kids just eat the frosting off the top, so instead I made cupcake sugar cookies. Her favorite color is purple, with pink not far behind, so I made them all with pink wrappers and purple frosting and finished them off with some shimmer... what girl doesn't like a little sparkle? :) Happy Birthday Anjali!

Sugar Cookies and Gingerbread Men

My husband and my Father-in-law are both ENT physicians, and this past weekend they had their Christmas party, so I made each family a little box of cookies as well as homemade hot cocoa (the post for that is a few down) as little gifts. I have been told that I made the BEST sugar cookies (wink, wink). I was planning on making all the desserts for the party (pecan crusted chocolate pudding pie, lemon bars, pastry puff, and spritz which I did already have made), but my dog ate a cake for a customer that was due the next morning so I was busy
re-doing that, and so I had no time to bake and I was forced to buy the desserts. :(

Lemon sugar cookies

These sugar cookies were made for a woman who is going through a personal accomplishment, and as a celebration she specifically asked for lemon flavored sugar cookies in the shape of lemons. The theme was, "When life gives you lemons, start looking for the sugar and start making lemonade, lemon cookies or lemon whatever!" The words courage, wisdom, and serenity were written on 6 total cookies, 2 each, because in her own words, "we have to look hard for that and sometimes it is hidden in the lemons we have been handed. " Congratulations Sharon!

Dan's 50th Birthday tiki bar cake!

This cake was made for a friend's Uncle who was coming in town the same week he was celebrating his 50th birthday. A Caribbean style cake with "Dan" holding a drink lounging on a beach chair was specifically asked for. The cake was chocolate with vanilla buttercream/Oreo filling. The tiki bar was made from Rice Krispy treats then covered in fondant, and all decorations... the palm tree's, "Dan," beach chair, bar stools, drinks, surfboard, water, wood sign were all made from homemade marshmallow fondant. White chocolate sea shells and crushed graham crackers used for the sand were finishing touches. 40 palm tree sugar cookies were also made. Happy 5oth birthday Dan!
