Lego Cake being built by a Rice Krispy Treat Construction Crane

This cake was made for one of my daughter's classmates whose mother won a gift certificate that I donated for an auction for our daughter's school. He wanted a construction crane cake so I suggested making a crane and make it look like it was building a cake made from Lego's. I was told he loves Lego's so that is what I did. The cake was chocolate with vanilla buttercream/chocolate chip filling and the crane was made from Rice Krispy Treats. Everything was edible with the exception of the ladder and the tower like thingy (sorry but I don't know what to call it) which were made from wood skewers and painted with black food gel and the strings. Happy 4th Birthday Nicholas!

Mater

This cake and cupcakes were made for 2 brothers having a joint birthday party. The smash cake was for the little boy turning 1 and the cupcakes were used as the main "cake"/ cupcakes. The smash cake was vanilla with guava filling and the cupcakes were vanilla, confetti, and if I remember correctly strawberry. Mater and Lightning McQueen were sculpted from fondant and the checkered flags were also made from fondant! Happy Birthday!

Juicy Couture 1st Birthday Cake

This cake was made for a little girls 1st birthday! This cake was a ton of work... I almost can't even begin to explain, but in the end it turned out amazing! All the jewelry as well as the crown, bow and tissue were made from fondant and the entire cake as well as the smash cake were vanilla with strawberry filling. Happy 1st Birthday Za'Riyah!

Tom and Jerry Cake

This cake was made for some friend's of our's two kids that were having a joint birthday. I was very excited to make this cake but this to me was a bit of an odd request for kids turning 3 and 5 because the cartoon is so old school (I grew up watching Tom and Jerry) and now-a-days there are 50 million other cartoons on TV, so I totally expected something like Sponge Bob or something along those lines. I was given total creative freedom on this cake which was awesome, but the only thing I had to do was make Tom girly, so I added pink flower earrings. The bottom cake was chocolate with chocolate fudge filling and covered in purple fondant with polka dots for Anika and the top cake was white with raspberry filling and covered in green fondant with stars for Devan. Tom and Jerry and the wood mallet were sculpted from Rice cereal treats and covered in fondant. I really love the way this cake turned out and so did everyone else including the birthday boy and girl and their parents which was most important. Happy birthday Devan and Anika!

Closeup of Tom and Jerry... they requested Tom to be girly, which explains the pink flower earrings...

Maya and Layla's Princess Castle Cake

This cake was made for some friend's of our two daughters whose birthday's are just days apart from one another. The bottom tier was white cake with raspberry filling and the top tier was chocolate cake with chocolate fudge filling. The towers were made from rice cereal treats and then covered in fondant and topped with ice cream cones rolled in pink white chocolate and then sprinkled with edible glitter. The entire cake was covered in fondant and the birthday girls' mom bought some Disney Princess figurines to finish off the cake. Happy Birthday Princes Maya and Princess Layla!

Malena's 5th Birthday Ballerina Cake

This was my daughter's 5th birthday cake! She loves to dance and she loves the color pink, so she wanted a pink ballerina cake, which I might add is totally opposite from her Land Before Time Dinosaur cake that she HAD to have last year that took me about 12 hours just to sculpt the characters. lol. The bottom tier was vanilla and chocolate cake with chocolate filling, the middle tier was vanilla cake with raspberry filling and the top tier was chocolate cake with chocolate filling. The ballerina was sculpted from fondant. Happy birthday my little dancing princess! :)
