This cake was made for a friend of mine's son Timmy who is turning 2. The cake was chocolate with vanilla buttercream/chocolate chip filling and vanilla frosting. The figures on top.... Nemo, Dory, and Squirt are figurine toys and everything else... the coral, sea grass, etc are made from homemade marshmallow fondant. I LOVE the way this cake turned out... I think it is my favorite cake yet! Happy 2nd birthday Timmy!

Amanda's giant cupcake... animal style!
I was asked to make a giant cupcake with somewhat specific instructions... a blue wrapper and pink frosting, with stars and only one restriction... absolutely no purple. The cake was white with strawberry buttercream filling and frosting, and all "decorations"... the wrapper, stars, swirly like confetti, bow, her name on the board, and the 18 on top were made from homemade marshmallow fondant. I wanted to incorporate a little funkiness into the cake so I added a zebra print bow which I hand painted and a black and white marbled 18. I really like the way it turned out, and hopefully the bday girl did as well! Happy birthday Amanda!

Strawberry Shortcake giant cupcake
I absolutely LOVE the way this turned out! This giant cupcake was made for a little girl turning 2. Her mom was on the fence as to what she wanted... either a giant cupcake with bugs (the same one that I made for my friend's daughter Ava), or a Strawberry Shortcake themed cake, so I suggested a Strawberry Shortcake giant cupcake. I was very excited when I first thought up the idea, so i'm glad that she loved the idea as much as I did. The cake was confetti with guava pineapple frosting, and the strawberries, vines, flowers, leaves, wrapper and 2 were all made from fondant. Happy birthday Ava!

Baby shower cupcakes
I made these cupcake for my friends baby shower. They didn't want to know what they are having, so the cupcakes were made for both boys and girls. They seem to think that it may be a boy only because they had a 4d ultrasound and the face they think looks more like a boy. That is why I placed a boy cupcake on top of the tower. The boy cupcakes were chocolate with vanilla buttercream topped with fondant rubber ducks and the girl cupcakes were vanilla with strawberry buttercream topped with fondant flowers. Congratulations Tricia and Brian on your upcoming bundle of joy!

My Mother-in-law's Birthday cake
This cake was made for my Mother-in-law for her birthday... age confidential! :) I
remember asking her a long time ago what her favorite colors were, and if I remember correctly, she told me red and yellow, so I did an Indian inspired cake because she is Indian and threw in some orange as well. The cake was lemon with lemon filling/lemon buttercream frosting and then covered in homemade marshmallow fondant and more fondant pieces. Happy Birthday!
