Reenal's Bridal Shower
When I was asked to make this cake, I was told that I could have total freedom as to design, but a few things overall were desired. The colors that she wanted to focus on were burgandy and silver and she wanted something rich and elegant looking with the edible silver dragee's incorporated but really wanted to stay away from flowers. I think that I managed to pull it off. The top tier was red velvet, the bottom tier was orange, and the entire cake was covered in ivory fondant. The burgandy borders and the bows were fondant and the broaches in the center of the bows were handmade from fondant and dragee's. Because some people attending the shower were vegan, she also wanted some orange vegan cupcakes made. When I dropped it off, everyone loved it including the bride to be! Congratulations Reenal!
Greek Flag Birthday Cake
This cake was made for some friend's of our's family that was coming into town, and while here, celebrating 2 birthday's. The cake was yellow with cannolli cream/chocolate chip filling, and because they are of Greek heritage, they wanted the Greek flag on top. Happy birthday Dimitri and Arsinoi!

Anjali's Lady Bug Birthday Cake
This cake was made for our daughter Anjali's 3rd birthday, and definitely goes in my top 3 favorite cakes! Being a typical kid and after changing her mind as to what theme she wanted like a million and one times... first Tinker Bell, then Ni Hao Kai Lan, then back to Tinker Bell, then once again back to Ni Hao Kai Lan, then Dora (even though she had Dora last year), then butterfly, then Lady Bug, she finally decided on a Lady Bug theme. She told me specifically that she did not want red lady bugs... she originally wanted purple lady bugs because that is her favorite color, but I was able to convince her that pink would look better. :)
The bottom tier was orange cake with vanilla buttercream filling, and the top tier was white cake with vanilla buttercream/mini chocolate chip filling. The entire cake was covered in fondant including the cake board, and all "decorations"... the lady bugs, 3, and the flowers were sculpted from fondant. Happy 3rd Birthday to my little (because she is so tiny) big girl (who I might add just potty trained... YAY!) Anjali!

Anjali's Cupcake Sugar Cookies
I made these sugar cookies for my daughter Anjali who just turned 3 to take to school with her to share with all of her friends and teachers. She wanted cupcakes to take in but the teachers said no due to the fact that the kids just eat the frosting off the top, so instead I made cupcake sugar cookies. Her favorite color is purple, with pink not far behind, so I made them all with pink wrappers and purple frosting and finished them off with some shimmer... what girl doesn't like a little sparkle? :) Happy Birthday Anjali!

Ami's Bridal Shower
I absolutely love the way this cake turned out! This cake was made for my husband's cousin's bridal shower. The cake had two flavors... the bottom and top tier were passion fruit cake with vanilla buttercream filling, and the middle tier and the cupcakes were orange cake with vanilla buttercream filling. All the flowers were real, and if you look closely, little gold swirly twigs stuck out from them. Congrats Ami and Sidd!

Soccer / Football cake for World Cup Finals
I made this cake for a 2010 World Cup Finals party that we attended. The bottom tier was lemon with lemon butter cream filling and the top tier was chocolate with marshmallow creme, chocolate chips and graham cracker filling (s'mores), all covered in fondant. I will let it be known that I am totally not into soccer. I have never watched a game on television, or in person and didn't even know who was playing up until 2 days ago. People even looked at me strangely at the party when I asked them which team was which with only about 10 minutes to go in the game. Anyway, Congrats Spain!

Keegan's Lightning McQueen Cake
This cake was made for a little boy turning 3. Having never seeing the movie, these cakes seem to get a bit easier each time being that this is my 6th one in the past year or so. The cake was white with strawberry buttercream and fresh strawberries, and crushed graham crackers for the sand on top. All "decorations" were made from fondant with the exception of the cars on top. If you notice, the road is shaped like a 3 and the speed limit sign is 3 mph because the birthday boy turned 3 years old... clever huh? :) Happy 3rd birthday Keegan!

Ayden's 1st Birthday!
This cake was made for a little boy turning 1. His mom requested a cake with no theme, but wanted circus like colors. The bottom tier was white cake with strawberry buttercream and the top tier was chocolate with vanilla buttercream/chocolate chip filling. The 1, stripes, polka dots and the ball border were all made from homemade marshamllow fondant.
