Pia's Flip Flops

These flip flops were made for a young girl turning 8. This pair is very similar to the ones I made a few months ago, but the flower is different and these have stripes instead of polka dots. Both flip flops were white cake with vanilla buttercream/chocolate chip filling with homemade marshmallow fondant straps, flowers, stripes, towel and size 8 flip flops because she was turning 8. Finishing touches include crushed graham crackers for the sand and white chocolate sea shells. Happy Birthday Pia!

Molly's mini giant cupcake

This cupcake is actually a mini version of the giant cupcake that I make, and that is why I call it a mini giant cupcake. This cake was made for a young girl turning 9 who specifically requested a giant cupcake with a purple wrapper, pink frosting, and rainbow sprinkles. This was actually the second one that I made due to the fact that as I was literally finishing the first one, something happened and the bottom part of the cupcake gave out causing it to collapse. After wanting to scream at the top of my lungs and say some not so very nice things, I started all over again. I actually liked the way this one turned out more, so maybe it wasn't such a bad thing that that happened! The cake was chocolate with vanilla buttercream/oreo filling and the wrapper, sprinkles, 9 on top, and the writing on the board were all made from homemade marshmallow fondant. Happy birthday Molly!

Mexican Fiesta Bridal Shower!

This cake was made for a couple, who because of an inside joke, decided to have a Mexican fiesta themed bridal shower. The bottom cake was marble with vanilla buttercream/chocolate chip filling and the top cake was guava pineapple with guava pineapple buttercream filling. The entire cake was covered in homemade marshmallow fondant and then decorated with more fondant pieces. Their initials are on each margarita glass, his J and her's D, their initial for their last name on top and their upcoming wedding date were all made from fondant as well as the chili's and flower petals on top. I absolutely LOVE the way this cake turned out... such a fun and bright cake to make, and only hope that the happy couple loved it as well! Congratulations!

Nicholas' 1st birthday Monkey cake

This cake was made for a little boy who was turning 1. I really enjoyed making this cake, and think it turned out so adorable. The sheet cake was double layer... one layer white and one layer chocolate with vanilla buttercream/chocolate chip filling. Monkey, banana, branches, and leaves were all made from homemade marshmallow fondant and pirouette cookie sticks were used on the outside. Happy 1st birthday Nicholas!

Happy 5th birthday sugar cookies

These cookies were made for some friends of our's whose twin daughters were turning 5. Lauren's favorite color is pink so she got pink cookies, and Jamie's favrorite color is purple so she got purple cookies.

Sydney's other Princess cake!

This cake was made for the same girl Sydney (my daughter's BFF) that I made the Princess crown cake for just a few days ago. The cake was the same flavors as the other one... chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream/chocolate chip filling and vanilla buttercream frosting. Handmade Prince and Princess, banner (writing is edible marker), and hearts around the sides which you can't see, were made from homemade marshmallow fondant. Again, I made the cake blue because she loves Cinderella. Happy 4th birthday Syd!

Closeup of Prince and Princess... (I didn't notice how short I actually made the Princess until after I was already finished with her. I think the bottom half of her body got crushed by her upper half... oops!) :)

Sydney's Princess Crown Cake

This cake was made for my daughter's BFF Sydney. She wanted some kind of a Princess cake, and I had the chance to do whatever I wanted, so this is what I came up with. I made the cake pale blue because her favorite Princess is Cinderella. This cake was chocolate with chocolate buttercream/chocolate chip filling and vanilla buttercream frosting. I really love how this cake turned out... I especially love all of the shimmer! Happy Birthday Princess Sydney!

Andrew's Lightning McQueen 3rd birthday cake

This cake was made for a little boy who was turning 3. He is a Lightning McQueen fan, so that is what he got. Last year on his second birthday a rainbow came out, so he said that he wanted a rainbow for his next birthday cake, so I incorporated a rainbow onto his cake as well. His party was a very large one... around 200 people, so a sheet cake was also made. The top tier was white with a vanilla buttercream/chocolate chip buttercream filling, the bottom tier was white with strawberry buttercream filling, and the sheet cake was chocolate with vanilla buttercream/chocolate chip filling. Lightning McQueen was hand sculpted from Rice Krispy treats and covered in fondant with fondant pieces. The rainbow as well as all of the "decorations" on the cake... street signs, cactus, rocks, sand dunes/mountains, and checker board were all made from homemade marshmallow fondant. Happy 3rd birthday Andrew!

Stella's 1st birthday giant cupcake!

This giant cupcake was made for a little girls 1st birthday. Her mom was specific as to what colors she wanted... spring green cupcake wrapper, bright pink frosting, turquoise "1", and rainbow sprinkles. The giant cupcake was white cake with vanilla buttercream/chocolate chip filling. The cupcakes were white with vanilla buttercream frosting and topped with a handmade fondant cupcake, which I think turned out so adorable! Happy 1st birthday Stella!
